Newbiggin Lifeboat

Reason: Children cut off by the tide

​

The Lifeboat launched following a tasking request from H M Coastguard to go to the assistance of children cut off by the rising tide on The Scars at Cresswell. Proceeding at best speed once on scene, it was discovered the children had been brought ashore by a member of the public. A crew member was placed ashore to assess the children’s condition before the arrival of shore units. As no medical assistance was required the children were placed into the care of Newbiggin Coastguard and the Lifeboat returned to station.
